A MESSAGE FROM FRANCINE
Celebrating women goes beyond the month of March. I believe women deserve to be put on that pedestal every single day. But this month is the time of year to amplify their voices, prowesses, and greatness louder. I am continuously marked by their wisdom, empathy, grace, strength, and leadership. They inspired me 3 years ago to create this beautiful community that resonates with so many, and the opportunity to carry on their legacy and create mine to set a precedent for future generations of women is a feeling of gratitude and responsibility I embrace.
Reflecting on this year’s theme, I recognize the efforts made so far to close the gender gap and the relentless work needed to ensure women are not at a blatant disadvantage in society. The gender equity cause is for everyone to champion, regardless of their gender. I dream of a tomorrow where women will not be overlooked for leadership roles. Women are a powerful force and gender equity is a winning bet today and tomorrow.
MEET THE MENTORS
Anna Lolomari
Anna is the owner and creative director of Zesty Lifestyle, an interior and fashion styling brand offering personal styling, closet edits, and confidence-building workshops. As a certified interior decorator, she refreshes spaces by blending existing pieces with new designs tailored to her clients' lifestyle, taste, and budget.
Beckie Di Leo
Beckie rebranded the Arts Dept into the HeARTs Dept, collaborating with BIPOC community mentors on social justice initiatives within the curriculum. She also works with award-winning designers to create a unique, innovative, and entrepreneurial educational program.
Tamara Bahry
Tamara is a documentary and studio photographer who donates all proceeds from her work to charities in need. She also co-founded Commission Yourself, a fundraiser dedicated to combating and raising awareness about sex trafficking in the Greater Toronto Area.
Dimitra Davidson
Dimitra is the driving force behind Indeed Labs, an independent skincare brand built on honesty, transparency, and inclusion. From formulation to creative strategy, she is deeply involved in every aspect of the business, ensuring consumer needs are at the heart of everything she does.
Klaudia Zinaty
Klaudia is a business entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in media and marketing, including print, television, events, and digital media. She is the President and Founder of the Women Empowerment Awards, a platform dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women in Canadian business, leadership, and community service.
Aynur Jahan
Aynur, founder of NOORÈLLE, channels her lifelong passion for art and culture into creating meaningful jewelry designs. Inspired by her Azerbaijani roots, she started the brand with her daughter to blend tradition, creativity, and empowerment, crafting pieces that celebrate modern women and family legacy.
Claudia Chan
Claudia is a Mindset Life Coach dedicated to empowering women, especially Asian women, to embrace their true selves and pursue their dreams with courage. She is an International Bestselling author of Asian Women Trailblazers Who BossUp and the host of the Extraordinary Asian Women podcast.
Lisa Ventura
Lisa is the founder and principal of 1st Link Group, providing recruitment services across various industries and partnering with major brands. She is also a Certified Master Coach Practitioner, yoga instructor, and dedicated volunteer, actively contributing to numerous charitable organizations since 1995.
